In 2020, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate for pensioners increased by 33.3% compared to 2019, reaching 14.8.

Ireland accounts for 93.1% of the EU-27 total of 15.9.

Ireland ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.7% (from 15.7 in 2015).
