In 2020, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate of elderly people by tenure status increased by 44.8% compared to 2019, reaching 15.2.

Ireland accounts for 89.4% of the EU-27 total of 17.0.

Ireland ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 15.2% (from 13.2 in 2015).
