In 2020, Ireland's at-risk-of poverty rate by most frequent activity status decreased by 11.3% compared to 2019, reaching 5.50.

Ireland accounts for 62.5% of the EU-27 total of 8.80.

Ireland ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.2% (from 4.90 in 2015).
