At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2013, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.1% compared to 2012, reaching 18.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Italy ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.2% (from 17.4% in 2008).
