In 2018, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.4% compared to 2017, reaching 23.3%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.8%.
Latvia ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 20.1% (from 19.4% in 2013).
