General government expenditure by function (COFOG)

In 2009, Latvia's general government expenditure by function (COFOG) increased by 52.1% compared to 2008, reaching 14.3%.

Latvia ranks 21st out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 36.2% (from 10.5% in 2004).
