Children aged less than 3 years in formal childcare

In 2016, Latvia's children aged less than 3 years in formal childcare increased by 28.9% compared to 2015, reaching 25.9.

Latvia accounts for 77.5% of the EU-27 total of 33.4.

Latvia ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 78.6% (from 14.5 in 2011).
