In 1995, Lithuania's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 10.1% compared to 1994, reaching 718,469.

Lithuania ranks 20th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 45.7% (from 492,980 in 1990).
