Children aged less than 3 years in formal childcare

In 2021, Lithuania's children aged less than 3 years in formal childcare increased by 32.1% compared to 2020, reaching 21.4.

Lithuania accounts for 56.6% of the EU-27 total of 37.8.

Lithuania ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 40.8% (from 15.2 in 2016).
