In 2004, Luxembourg's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 20.4% compared to 2003, reaching 8.2%.

Luxembourg ranks 13th out of 13 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.5% (from 8.0% in 1999).
