In 2008, Luxembourg's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 25.0% compared to 2007, reaching 5.4%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 47.6% (from 10.3% in 2003).
