At-risk-of-poverty rate by age group - EU-SILC survey

In 2024, Malta's at-risk-of-poverty rate by age group increased by 1.8% compared to 2023, reaching 16.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.2%.

Malta ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.2% (from 17.1% in 2019).
