In 2015, Portugal's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 8.7% compared to 2014, reaching 100.

Portugal ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.4% (from 124 in 2010).
