Distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group

In 2021, Portugal's distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group increased by 1.3% compared to 2020, reaching 78.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 69.8%.

Portugal ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.1% (from 75.2% in 2016).
