Employment rates by citizenship

In 2010, Romania's employment rates by citizenship increased by 1.0% compared to 2009, reaching 52.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 57.3%.

Romania ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.9% (from 51.5% in 2005).
