In 2014, Romania's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 11.3% compared to 2013, reaching 298.

Romania ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 24.9% (from 397 in 2009).
