In 2020, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty threshold for a single household increased by 5.2% compared to 2019, reaching 4,634.

Romania ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 77.3% (from 2,614 in 2015).
