In 2019, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty threshold increased by 16.9% compared to 2018, reaching 8,806.

Romania ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 82.8% (from 4,816 in 2014).
