In 2020, Romania's share of total population living in a dwelling with a leaking roof, damp walls, floors or foundation, or rot in window frames of floor increased by 6.4% compared to 2019, reaching 10.0.

Romania accounts for 67.6% of the EU-27 total of 14.8.

Romania ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 21.9% (from 12.8 in 2015).
