In 1995, Slovakia's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 2.2% compared to 1994, reaching 1,015,794.

Slovakia ranks 18th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 20.3% (from 1,274,244 in 1990).
