In 2024, Slovakia's at-risk-of-poverty rate before social transfers by sex increased by 1.8% compared to 2023, reaching 22.9.

Slovakia accounts for 93.1% of the EU-27 total of 24.6.

Slovakia ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 19.3% (from 19.2 in 2019).
