In 2024, Slovakia's housing cost overburden rate by age group increased by 8.5% compared to 2023, reaching 6.40.

Slovakia accounts for 78.0% of the EU-27 total of 8.20.

Slovakia ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.3% (from 5.70 in 2019).
