In 2024, Slovakia's persons participating in tourism for personal purposes increased by 13.4% compared to 2023, reaching 2,203,242.

Slovakia ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 13.1% (from 2,534,034 in 2019).
