In 2021, Sweden's relative median poverty risk gap of elderly people increased by 10.2% compared to 2020, reaching 11.9.

Sweden accounts for 65.0% of the EU-27 total of 18.3.

Sweden ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.2% (from 10.9 in 2016).
