In 2021, Sweden's persistent at-risk-of poverty rate by age group increased by 58.2% compared to 2020, reaching 8.70.

Sweden accounts for 82.1% of the EU-27 total of 10.6.

Sweden ranks 18th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 42.6% (from 6.10 in 2016).
