In 2023, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 0.7% compared to 2022, reaching 69,835.

Sweden ranks 4th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 10.4% (from 77,914 in 2018).
