Employment rates by citizenship

In 2025, the EU-27 figure for employment rates by citizenship was 66.6%.

That is a 0.6% rose versus 2024 (66.2%).

Over the five years before that, the EU-27 aggregate moved 6.9% higher.

Across member states, Netherlands reported the highest value (78.9%, 2025) and Italy the lowest (53.8%, 2025).
