In 2023, the EU-27 figure for share of total population considering their dwelling as too dark was 6.70 .

That is a 3.1% rose versus 2020 (6.50).

Over the five years before that, the EU-27 aggregate moved 21.8% higher.

Across member states, France reported the highest value (10.6, 2023) and Czechia the lowest (2.90, 2023) — a ratio of 3.7× between the two ends of the range.
