In 2013, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.0% compared to 2012, reaching 14.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.8%.

Austria ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.3% (from 15.2% in 2008).
