At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2011, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 6.3% compared to 2010, reaching 17.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.1%.

Austria ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.1% (from 14.7% in 2006).
