At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2011, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.8% compared to 2010, reaching 25.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.1%.

Italy ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.1% (from 24.4% in 2006).
