At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2018, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.5% compared to 2017, reaching 19.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.6%.

Austria ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.2% (from 18.6% in 2013).
