At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2018, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.6% compared to 2017, reaching 14.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.6%.

Germany ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.4% (from 14.7% in 2013).
