At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2019, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 22.4% compared to 2018, reaching 14.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 18.7%.

Austria ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.1% (from 18.2% in 2014).
