At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2009, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.0% compared to 2008, reaching 15.3%.

Austria ranks 16th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.7% (from 14.2% in 2004).
