In 2020, Austria's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 26.6% compared to 2019, reaching 84,734.

Austria ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 39.6% (from 140,254 in 2015).
