In 2020, Hungary's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 11.5% compared to 2019, reaching 50,441.

Hungary ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 54.7% (from 111,326 in 2015).
