In 2018, Austria's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 15.3% compared to 2017, reaching 58,637.

Austria ranks 8th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 33.9% (from 88,703 in 2013).
