In 2018, Germany's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 10.6% compared to 2017, reaching 326,409.

Germany ranks 2nd out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 25.4% (from 437,520 in 2013).
