In 2024, Austria's persons aged 25-64 with at least upper secondary educational attainment level by sex increased by 0.2% compared to 2023, reaching 86.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 80.5%.

Austria ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.7% (from 85.6% in 2019).
