Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2022, Austria's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 22.6% compared to 2021, reaching 4.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 6.2%.

Austria ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.6% (from 5.9% in 2017).
