At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 8.1% compared to 2023, reaching 11.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.2%.

Belgium ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 23.0% (from 14.8% in 2019).
