At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2011, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.2% compared to 2010, reaching 18.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.1%.

Belgium ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 22.2% (from 15.3% in 2006).
