At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.5% compared to 2018, reaching 19.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 18.7%.

Belgium ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.1% (from 18.8% in 2014).
