At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 16.6% compared to 2018, reaching 12.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 18.7%.

Germany ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.9% (from 15.1% in 2014).
