At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2020, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 18.9% compared to 2019, reaching 15.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.4%.

Belgium ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 14.4% (from 18.0% in 2015).
