At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2025, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.7% compared to 2024, reaching 14.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.6%.

Belgium ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.8% (from 15.4% in 2020).
