At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2025, France's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 6.5% compared to 2024, reaching 22.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.6%.

France ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.5% (from 19.4% in 2020).
