In 2016, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.7% compared to 2015, reaching 15.3%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 14.3%.
Belgium ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 24.3% (from 20.2% in 2011).
