At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 11.7% compared to 2018, reaching 15.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.2%.

Belgium ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.0% (from 15.9% in 2014).
